I had to write this poem for a class today, and thought I'd share. Give
you a little idea about who I am. It is based on the Poem "I Am" from
George Ella Lyon.
I am from the back corner.
I am from your such a nerd.
I am from keeping quiet.
I am from keeping peace.
I am from superman on the playground.
I am from GI Joes on bottle rockets.
They don't fly very high.
I am from wandering the streets at midnight.
I am from big family gathersings
Just on thanksgiving.
I am from black-eyed peas
on New Years Eve.
I am from atheism.
I am from baptism.
I am from going to church alone at 7 years old.
I am from who knows what.
I am from England, France and Denmark.
I am from the trail of tears.
I am from the revolutionary war.
I am from the red stick revolution.
