For our 10th anniversary we had a suite at a four star hotel. We ate at the ultra chic restaurant in the hotel and walked the neighborhood window shopping in all the little shops along the way. The suite had a huge marble tub and lots of candles. It is a lovely romantic memory I will always cherish.

My Romantic Moment

My most romantic moment was just that--a moment. My husband and I were just friends at the time, but we were on the verge of dating. I had gone over to his house and it started pouring down rain when it came time to leave. I didn't want to take the bus home and have to walk in the rain so he invited me to sleep over. I slept on the couch but in the morning he made me breakfast and gave me a great big hug just to say thank you for being there. That's when I knew for sure we'd end up together!

A Total Surprise

Once night when my hubby and I were dating I got to his place on Valentine's Day and he was there dressed up in his Grandfathers Tux, Rose in hand when I knocked on the door. The lights were dimmed, candles all over and he had our favorite song (later to be our wedding song) playing. He escorted me to the table and served me Shrimp Cocktail. It was GREAT and while quite inexpensive compared to future Valentine's Day's our most memorable.

I always have a romantic time when I go away with my husband for a few day

A romantic time I have had....

started on a friday afternoon while I was still at the office and I had a single rose delivered by a courier with a note card. When I opened up the card all that was writting inside was a note from my then fiance to meet him down at the boat docks where we kept our boat and not to go home. I immediately thought maybe I forgot a special date or something, but that wasn't the case. When I got to the boat he said that we hadn't had any alone time and we were going to have dinner, some wine and take the boat up the river and anchor for the night. He had it all set up with dinner he got take out from a favorite restaurant and some wine. We ate off of paper plates and drank from plastic cups. We listened to some of our favorite cd's and then watched the sun set before going down into the cabin for the night. It was truly a wonderful night and it still makes me smile every time I think about it.

Usually every Valentine's Day

Usually every Valentine's Day my husband and I go to an Italian restaurant that's a couple blocks from our home. But on one Valentine's Day we were in the middle of an ice storm and couldn't even get our car out of the driveway. Sensing my disappointment in not being able to fulfill our yearly ritual my husband walked to the restaurant in the bitter cold and ordered carryout, wine and everything, and brought it home. He lit a candle on our dining room table and set it like we were eating there, it was one of the most romantic dinners I've ever had!

Romantic Time

I once met the most unusual guy - he FIRST took me home to meet his mother because he had to fix a clock for her, and then he took me to the Botanical Gardens in our city, and when the guard wasn't looking, jumped up and picked a coconut from a palm tree and brought it back to his place, where he served me a lovely dinner he'd made himself, and besides cutting open the coconut afterwards he gave me three presents: a heart-shaped box covered in satin with a dragon embroidered on it (because he had been born in the year of the Dragon), a tiny statuette of a raccoon (because he thought they were intelligent - and little did he know that I had once raised a baby raccoon whose mother had been killed!), and a black rose (he had dipped the stem in dye for a long time to make the rose black!). THEN he took me out to a night club where he introduced me to his brother and his friends and we danced and danced! I considered this evening very romantic because I never knew what was going to happen next, and because I just felt very natural around him!
